Frequently asked questions
If your question is not here, write to us — the message comes straight to the owners, not to an agency.
What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is from 15:00 on the day of arrival and check-out is by 12:00 noon on the day of departure. Check-in is self-service: the keys wait for you in a key safe beside the front door, so you can arrive at any hour, day or night. A few days before you travel we send you the key safe code, photo directions to the house and step-by-step instructions for opening the safe. Villa Nadezda stands in a small private complex with a barrier at each entrance; the barrier opens with a free phone call to a number we send you with the arrival details.
Does Villa Nadezda have an official licence number?
Yes. Villa Nadezda is officially registered in Cyprus under licence number 0006510.
How can I check availability for my dates?
Real-time availability is shown on our booking page: choose your arrival and departure dates and the number of guests to see the total price and book online. Booking direct with us, 50% of the total is paid when the booking is made and the remaining 50% no later than seven days before arrival. The villa is also listed on Booking.com and Airbnb.
Who should I contact if I have a problem with my booking?
Write to us directly. Villa Nadezda is run by its owners, so your message comes straight to us rather than to an agency — our e-mail address and WhatsApp number are on the contact page. If you booked through Booking.com or Airbnb you can also message us in that platform’s chat, and we answer as quickly as we can.
What is included in the price?
Utilities, bed linen and bath towels, Wi-Fi and parking are all included in the nightly rate. The only addition is a one-off cleaning fee of €60 per stay, which covers the cleaning before you arrive and after you leave and is shown in the total before you pay. There are no other extras and no resort or service fees. Beach towels are not provided — please bring your own or buy one locally.
Can we really pick lemons from the tree?
Yes, please do. The lemon tree beside the front door fruits almost all year and produces far more than we can use. Guests are welcome to pick whatever they need during their stay.
How do I get around Paphos from the villa?
Shops, restaurants and the Kato Paphos seafront are within walking distance, so you can spend whole days here without driving. For the Akamas peninsula, Coral Bay, Latchi and the Troodos mountains a hire car is the easiest way to travel; local taxis and the Paphos public buses are the alternative. Ask us before you arrive and we are glad to suggest where to hire a car. Parking at the villa is free.
Can I check in early or check out late?
Often yes, and it depends on whether the house is free on either side of your stay. Just ask us and we will tell you as soon as we know. If the day before or after is booked we have to keep to 15:00 and 12:00, so that the house can be cleaned properly between guests.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you booked direct with us, prepayments are non-refundable: 50% of the total is paid when the booking is made and the rest no later than seven days before arrival. If you booked through Booking.com or Airbnb, the payment and cancellation terms you accepted on that platform apply. Either way, please tell us as soon as your plans change — a change of dates is sometimes possible if the house is free.
Are children welcome at the villa?
Yes, children of any age are welcome. The house works well for families: three bedrooms, room for up to six people, a full kitchen and a separate shallow pool for children in the complex. There is no travel cot at the villa, but a child’s mattress and a changing mat are kept in the storeroom and you are welcome to use them — tell us in advance if you are travelling with a baby and we will have them ready.
Are pets allowed? Can we smoke?
No pets, and no smoking or vaping indoors — that includes e-cigarettes and heated-tobacco devices. You may smoke on the ground-floor patio. Never throw a cigarette end over the railing or onto the ground: the grass around the house is bone-dry for much of the year, a single butt can start a serious fire, and in Cyprus that carries criminal liability.
Is the pool private?
No. The two pools belong to the whole Paradise Gardens complex and are shared with the neighbouring houses: a large pool for adults and a separate shallow pool for children. There is no lifeguard, so you swim at your own risk and children must always be watched by an adult. Because the complex is mostly long-stay residents, the pool area rarely feels crowded even in August.
